പെരുമ്പാമ്പിനെ കാണാത്തവരായി ആരും തന്നെ ഇല്ല. നമ്മുടെ കേരളത്തിൽ വളരെ അധികം കണ്ടുവരുന്നതും, ഏറ്റവും വലിപ്പം കൂടിയതുമായ ഒരു പാമ്പാണ് പെരുമ്പാമ്പ്. വിഷമില്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് പലർക്കും പെരുമ്പാമ്പിനെ പേടിയില്ല.
